ShutDownOne can easily ShutDown, Reboot, Log Off, Power Off, Lock Workstation ( also for Win 95/98/ME ), switch to Hibernate Mode, switch to Standby Mode. All of the above shut down actions can be executed as forced actions.

ShutDownOne puts an icon in the System Tray near the PC clock as shown in the image. [Screenshot]

A right click on the icon in the system tray opens the context menu containing a list of actions which you can click on. The default action appears in a bold font. The default action is also executed by double-clicking on the icon. You can change the default action or change the list of actions using the Options screen. [Screenshot]

General Tab:
Load on StartUp If this option is checked, ShutDownOne starts with Windows.

Confirm Operation If this option is checked, ShutDownOne asks for confirmation before executing the action you're selected.

Run in Silent Mode If this option is checked, ShutDownOne runs in the background but does not display an icon.

Default ShutDown Action This specifies the default action executed by double-clicking on the icon or by pressing on a hot key (if defined).

Auto-login After Restart Performs a Login automatically after restart.

Lock Computer after Auto-login Performs a Lock Workstation after an Auto-login.

Always use Auto-Login Performs an Auto-Login after a Restart operation made by ShutDownOne.


No Activity Tab:

Enable Activity Timer A timer will start when the keyboard or mouse are not being used. After a defined time of non-activity on your PC, an action you designate is executed.
Batch Tab:

Run command before ShutDown option A command line you're coded will be executed before the selected ShutDown action. If Wait while command is running is checked, ShutDownOne will wait until this command completes, but you can limit the wait time using a wait-no-more-than option.
Hot Key Tab:

Use Hot Key option If this option is checked, a selected ShutDown action is executed when the Hot Key is pressed.
Password Tab:

Here, you create or change a password which must be provided before certain operation settings can be changed.
Show Actions Tab:

Here, you define which actions show in the menu when you right-click on the icon of ShutDownOne.
Privacy Tab:

This option allows to you to clean up your computer before each shut down operation. This option running after a Batch operation (if chosen). Not available for a Lock Workstation operation.

In Windows 9x (95/98/ME) the password tab is a little bit different. [Screenshot]
In order to allow using Lock WorkStation option, you must to define a lock password. After that ShutDownOne will be able to lock your computer. When a computer is locked, there is no way to unlock it except by entering password.

Timed/Scheduled ShutDown screen. In this screen you define the time your computer will be shutdown automatically. This operation can be defined as a one-time, daily, or weekly operation. When the once option is selected it means the computer will be shutdown and Timed Service will be stopped. When you choose the daily option, the computer will be shutdown every day at the same time. You can stop this service by Stop Timed Action button. Check Display notification if you wish to display the notification. [Screenshot]


If you're use the Timed ShutDown service, every time before executing the selected action, an alert screen will be shown for 5 seconds to 10 minutes as you choose; the default is 1 minute. [Screenshot]

While this alert screen is displayed, you can choose one of three options:

"Do It" will immediately start the operation
"Wait" option will pause this operation for a 5 minutes and will appear again after 5 minutes.
"Abort" will cancel this operation. If you do nothing computer will shutdown after the chosen time.

NOTE: When you're using a password settings protection, the "Abort" button is not available.

Remote ShutDown. This option is available only to machines running Windows NT4/2000/XP/2003 This option allows to you to shutdown/restart computers remotely. Just add machines names to the list and click the Start Now button. You can choose an action to be executed shutdown/force shutdown, restart/force restart. You can type as well notification message and choose when this message will be displayed. If your notification time long enough it's possible to abort a shutdown action by clicking on the Abort ShutDown button. [Screenshot]
